Travel back in time aboard our vintage night train — where classic charm meets modern comfort. Our carriages, which have journeyed across Europe since the '90s, have been thoughtfully updated to today's standards. Choose your preferred level of comfort: private sleepers, couchettes, or seats.
Holiday starts on the train
Spend time together from the moment you step on the train. Depart in the evening, find your couchette and relax while the train glides peacefully through the night. In the morning, enjoy breakfast and coffee as you roll into your destination.
Sleepers
- The most comfortable option - max of 3 beds per compartment
- Compartments can be booked as single, double and triple
- Washbasin in the compartment, toilets elsewhere in the carriage
- Seats and table in the compartment
- A comfortable mattress with a fully made-up bed
- Mixed-gender travel, except in the women-only compartment
- Compartments can be locked from the inside

Couchettes
Standard: 6-person couchette compartment

Plenty space for luggage
Bring your luggage into your compartment and store it in the spacious area above the corridor door, or simply on the floor. There’s no need to worry about weight limits or measurements.
Sleep good
Blanket, sheet, and pillow are included for all couchette and sleeper passengers. For extra comfort, don't forget to bring your own sleeping mask and ear plugs.
Good breakfast
If you're traveling in a couchette or seating compartment, you can easily add breakfast during booking on our website or purchase it from the stewards on board. The meal includes a hot drink, a soft bun, juice, yogurt with granola, and crackers with a variety of spreads. The perfect way to begin your day.
Bike & Rail
Imagine starting your bike adventure right from the train station. From short escapes to extensive tours across Europe, we make it easy to take your bike on board the European Sleeper for just €19. Our night train accommodates 26 bicycles, with additional spaces available during peak season or for group travel.
Travel with your dog
Planning to bring your pet on board? You're more than welcome to bring along your dog or cat. Just make sure to book a private compartment for your journey. There’s no extra charge for your furry travel buddy.
From €79.99
A shared couchette starts from just €79.99 one-way per person. Prices vary based on route and travel date. To book your shared couchette, simply enter your departure date, select 'couchette,' and choose 'shared'. Optionally, choose 'woman only'.
For small groups we also offer private couchettes from €299,99.
