Tickets in a shared Classic compartment start from just €49.99 one-way per person. Prices vary depending on the route and travel date. To book, simply select 'Classic' and choose 'shared'. You can also opt for the more affordable Budget class or upgrade to Comfort class for a restful night. We also offer Women-Only compartments.

Winter sports at Rigi
Step off in Arth-Goldau and take the cogwheel train up to Rigi. At nearly 1,800 metres, the mountain offers skiing, sledging and winter walking. The route up passes snowy forests and open Alpine scenery. From the top, you’ll have wide views over the surrounding lakes and mountains. Rigi is a relaxed winter destination, with plenty to enjoy both on and off the slopes.

Winter sports at Andermatt
Step off in Göschenen and take the short mountain train up through the Schöllenen Gorge to Andermatt. The village sits at the foot of the Gemsstock and links into the wider SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. You’ll find high-altitude skiing, snowboarding and long runs with views across the Urseren Valley.
Away from the pistes, Andermatt also has winter walking, cross-country skiing and a compact village centre with traditional Swiss character. It’s a straightforward way to go from the night train to the snow in one smooth connection.
